Frequently Asked Questions
What is a photoshoot like?
In an email you will receive the location we have talked about, time and directions. Mini sessions are 20-30 minutes depending on the size of the family and ages of children. Full sessions are about an hour. Before we get started we will talk about specific pictures that you are wanting, the flow of the session and feeling comfortable in front of the camera. During the session we will play little games and get some fantastic pictures. After the session, I allow two weeks to get the pictures in an online gallery where you can view, download or print depending on package and preference.
What do I wear?
Wear something that you will be completely comfortable in. Avoid solid white as it will wash you out. Neons will reflect on faces and just does not photograph well. Do mix and match in colors, textures and patterns. I find that my family usually has a great selection already in their closet and I just need to plan a little to coordinate. You can always send me a text or email if you have questions or are concerns.
Can I see all the photos you took?
I take a lot of pictures! I might not be aiming for the perfect picture at the moment and may be checking the light, how you look in the setting and if I can see everyone in a specific pose. There will be a lot of pictures where people are looking in different directions, eyes closed or they just aren't flattering. Just like when I take the photos, editing is part of the artistic process. I only give you your best images in jpeg not raw files.
